General Questions
CBD or Cannabidiol is just one of the many components of the cannabis plant. Studies have shown that CBD contains anti-inflammatory qualities, on top of other various health benefits. It is commonly used to promote overall wellness and at the same time it is non-intoxicating.
It is just one of many different molecules known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.
CBD (or Cannabidiol) is one of over 100 active compounds found in the cannabis plant and is known for its interaction with our Endocannabinoid System when ingested.
Cannabinoids are active compounds produced by the cannabis plant which both promote and support nutritional health.. They account for most of the benefits of cannabis. Our body also produces cannabinoids on its own (like anandamide). Those are called endocannabinoids while cannabinoids produced by the cannabis plant are called phytocannabinoids.
When we supplement Cannabinoids, they interact with the body’s Endocannabinoid system (or ECS), which promotes homeostasis (or simply balance) in our body.
The human EndoCannabinoid System, or ECS, is a system of two components. One component are neurotransmitters – the cannabinoids produced by our body’s central nervous system called endocannabinoids. The other component are cell membrane receptors found on the surface of cells throughout the body. Neurotransmitters (cannabinoids) interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to adjust physiological processes at a cellular level.
The endocannabinoid system is vast and far-reaching. It regulates a wide array of bodily functions, from appetite regulation to sleep patterns, moods, metabolism, immune response, the lifespan of cells and much more.
For example, a well-known endocannabinoid is called anandamide. Anandamide is responsible for the production and uptake of the hormone called Serotonin. Serotonin is often referred to as the “bliss molecule” because levels of Serotonin in the body are directly associated with mood.
The Entourage effect is the reason why all PAPILO products are made with Full Spectrum CBD extract. Full Spectrum CBD extract contains a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as other beneficial compounds of the cannabis plant.
Each of the compounds has particular effects on the human body and the combined effect is often greater than the sum of the individual effects. The synergistic effect of the combined components is known as the Entourage Effect. Products made with CBD isolate do not have the benefit of the entourage effect and are therefore much less beneficial.
Hemp as a cannabis plant variety is used for a lot of things.
As a nutritional supplement it’s used for extracting flowers. The basic outcome is a CBD rich Full Spectrum extract. And as a full spectrum CBD extract it also includes other cannabinoids (yes, including small amounts of THC), terpenes and other components found in the Hemp plant.
Hemp seeds are used to produce Hemp seed oil. It has no cannabinoids and is mostly used as a culinary oil. Compared with other culinary oils, hemp seed oil is low in saturated fat and rich in polyunsaturated fat.
Hemp seed oil is sometimes referred to as simply Hemp oil. So it can get quite confusing when you are trying to buy Full Spectrum CBD. If you are looking for Full Spectrum CBD products be careful not to buy products that contain just Hemp Seed oil and zero cannabinoids!
For other industries, hemp stems and leaves can be processed into cloth, rope, plastic, fuel and many other useful things.
Hemp Oil is usually referred to as an extract made from hemp flowers. Hamp is a cannabis plant with less than 0.3% THC. The extract from flowers of some hemp strains is rich with CBD and other cannabinoids and has a very low amount of THC.
However some manufacturers also use the term Hemp Oil for their Hemp SEED Oil. This is of course confusing as the customers think they are getting Hemp Oil as Full Spectrum CBD product but in fact they are getting only the “culinary” Hemp Seed oil with no cannabinoids.
Hemp as a cannabis strain variety has only trace amounts of THC. Usually below 0.3%. So if you take the flowers to smoke it will not get you high because there’s not enough THC.
However when you take those same flowers and make a basic Full Spectrum extract, that extract is a concentrated liquid. Therefore the THC in that liquid is also concentrated. As a result it’s possible for hemp to get you high.
However (one more however 😉 all of our products are made with a small amount of the Full Spectrum Extract (concentrate) in the final product and it also has recommended doses. With all that combined it’s unlikely you will feel the high.
If the Hemp product is Hemp Seed Oil it does not contain cannabinoids and will most certainly not get you high.
It’s very important that you know exactly what you are getting when buying “hemp” products so read through product descriptions, labels and details.
We always recommend products made with Full Spectrum CBD extract as they tend to give you the best results.
Yes it does. Hemp is a cannabis plant variety that has traces amounts of THC – below 0.3%
There are many great CBD brands on the market today.
Nevertheless we recommend that you look for a brand that uses Full Spectrum CBD extract in their product as does our PAPILO brand. This will ensure you get the most out of the CBD products because the Full Spectrum components will have a synergistic effect in your body known as the Entourage effect.
It’s probably a good idea to ask around and get a recommendation of what brand you should choose.
In terms of getting someone “high” or “stoned” like THC, CBD is not psychoactive.

We grow our hemp 100% organically.
If you are going to use it starting today and on a daily basis it’s okay to have your CBD at room temperature.
If you want to store it for later use it’s best to store it in the refrigerator.
We are proud to say we grow our own Hemp, make our own extracts and make our own final products. Our production is from seed to final product.
Most drug tests in the workplace search for the intoxicating compound THC, not Cannabidiol (CBD) or other compounds found naturally in hemp.
With that being said, our Full Spectrum CBD products have at most 0.3% THC content in them, making it extremely unlikely for it to result in a failed drug test. It can also depend on the kind of drug test that is administered, as some are more thorough than others.
With full-spectrum CBD, it’s theoretically possible to get a false-positive result for THC, but in order to do so, a person would need to take around 2,000 mg of CBD oil daily. Most people never exceed 100 mg.
We like to take great care of our customers. So we will talk to you via email about what you need for your specific issue and what would be the best way for you to take it.
Absolutely. However we do recommend making a 1 to 2 weeks break for your Endocannabinoid system to work on its own and “upgrade”.
Refrigerated CBD oil will be good for years.
If not refrigerated it will be good for at least one year.
